Perhaps the person got too much without effort. If he is used to receiving material benefits, high social status and other indicators of success just like that, why should he try? But a period may come when circumstances change dramatically, and a person has no ability to achieve goals.
Step 2
People of a different type are used to going with the flow and living their way, not wanting more. Often such attitudes are received from parents. Until a certain point, there is nothing wrong with this attitude towards life. If a person has everything necessary for the average level of existence and he is satisfied with it, then, on the one hand, let everything remain so. However, on the other hand, without development it is impossible not only to move forward, but also to remain in place. A person who does not seek to improve his life runs the risk of being in a deplorable situation.

Some people do not allow themselves to dream about something. Perhaps they could both set themselves a high goal and achieve it. But they have a subconscious blockage of some serious desires. Perhaps the problem here is not only laziness, but also low self-esteem. Sometimes it's worth believing that you are worthy of everything you dream of.

You can start setting goals and achieve them little by little. Write a list every day of what you would like to get or do. Let it be little things. But in this way you will awaken in yourself the thirst for life, the ability to understand your needs and faith in your own abilities.
