Time passes just imperceptibly, because you had no time for spying on him.
Malicious routine
Experts have noticed a funny effect: for a person whose days are deprived of bright colors and filled with routine, time passes rather slowly. Such people, sitting at their workplace, can yawn, regularly glance at their watches and wait impatiently for the hands to show six, and they can go home. At home, while cleaning or cooking, they dream of finishing everything and going to bed as soon as possible. It seems that their days are stretching, but later, when they remember the past year, it will seem to them that it flew by in an instant. The reason is precisely in the monotonous life and the absence of important events and strong emotions: memory has nothing to cling to, and all days merge into a common gray mass.
Time forward
Many people find that the speed of time for them changes depending on their age. As a child, months dragged on like a turtle. It seemed that the quarter would never end, and three months of summer vacation was a whole life, in which you can do so many interesting things. With age, time went faster and faster: before December began, the New Year came, the vacation flew by in one breath, the children grew up imperceptibly. There is a version that this is influenced by the so-called proportionality effect, because for a ten-year-old child, one year is 10% of his life, but for a fifty-year-old it is only 2%.
The second reason is that every day is eventful for a child. He learns the world, a lot is new to him, events often cause strong emotions, while the accumulated experience makes the experiences less intense. This difference in perception gives the impression that time for children and adults flows at different rates.
