The question of self-knowledge is sometimes very worried about deep, thoughtful, serious people. Sometimes it seems that your own personality lies on the surface, and then you get the feeling that there is a complete stranger in the mirror.
Instructions
Step 1
Watch your own reactions if you want to get to know yourself better. Notice how certain events affect you, what makes you upset, what can please you, what kind of work you do with pleasure, and what kind of work you are not at all happy about. Think about which people you feel most comfortable with and why. Studying the causes of your own emotions will help you understand what your character is and what your inclinations are.
Step 2
Take a variety of personality tests. There are several questionnaires that help you get to know yourself better. Take this opportunity. This can be done, for example, via the Internet. Check what type of temperament you have, whether you are dominated by a romantic or pragmatic beginning, what self-esteem you have, what you value in people, how you feel about money, what qualities are leading in your character. Surely, passing various tests will be interesting and exciting for you.
Step 3
Try to be yourself. There is no need to portray any other person. If you build someone out of yourself for the sake of others, your personality is gradually erased. Let your personality manifest in your thoughts, words, and actions. Otherwise, you simply will not have the opportunity to learn more about yourself.
Step 4
Master this method of self-knowledge, like meditation. Make yourself comfortable in a quiet and calm environment, close your eyes, try to drown out extraneous thoughts and plunge your gaze deep into yourself. Observe what feelings and desires reign in your soul, what doubts and fears gnaw at you. Meditation helps not only to know yourself better, but also to find inner harmony.
Step 5
Keep a personal journal. Write down events that you consider significant for one reason or another. Record your feelings, your mood. Take notes every day and keep track of what exactly you highlight in your life, where your attention is focused. Thanks to the diary, it will be easier for you to understand your own feelings and know yourself.
Step 6
Ask your close friends and relatives what they think of you, what kind of person they think. If you doubt that they will answer a question posed in this way quite frankly, ask what, in their opinion, your personal qualities are your strengths, and which ones are your weaknesses. At least for the first part of the question, you will surely receive high-quality feedback.
