Having set themselves the goal of building a successful career, many of our contemporaries forget how to think about anything other than work, and even when they go on vacation, they are mentally in the office and live with its problems. Meanwhile, being able to rest is just as important as being able to work productively. How to competently prepare for the rest in order to recover both psychologically and physically?

Step 1
Don't think about vacation ahead of time. Yes, it is already in two weeks, but during this time you need to "clean up the tails", put things in order and leave detailed instructions to your colleagues on how to complete the project you started and continue working in your absence.
Step 2
"Bless" yourself to rest. If, when you go on vacation, you only think about work, what was the point in writing an application at all? It is an illusion that without you, such a valuable employee, the whole enterprise will stand up. If you were allowed to rest, then the management has considerations of how to compensate for your absence. A common trap our own brain lures us into is the desire for total control. Accept that some issues will not be resolved in the best way, and you will lose the thread of events. Return to the ranks with renewed vigor - and you will make up for everything without loss.
Step 3
Allow yourself a "couch disease". Getting away from the city, and even the country, is a good way to spend a vacation, but you don't have to follow the urge to go on a last-minute tour. If recovery requires a couple of days just to sit quietly at home, embracing long-forgotten books, films, music, TV shows - you need to allow yourself this luxury.
Step 4
And still leave! Few things are so good at helping to disconnect from a stale life and tedious everyday life, as a change of scenery. It is an unforgettable feeling when you get on a train and it goes to a distant destination, as if giving a signal to our entire body at the physical and psychological levels: now I am really on vacation!
