The principle of action of the human brain differs little from the muscles: the more load you give, the more work you are able to perform. It takes a lot of hard work to really develop your mind.
Instructions
Step 1
Study the literature on intelligence development. Before reading, try to search for reviews and comments on each specific book. In the wake of the popularity of this genre, there are a lot of useless and simply deceitful "brochures" on how to become smarter. It is unlikely that reading such can harm you, but it will not do any good. Of the really high-quality works, I recommend Tony Buzan's Guide to the Development of Memory and Intelligence. The book will not only offer exercises that are convenient for everyday life, but also explain what exactly they will affect, why it is worth doing them and how exactly they work.
Step 2
Exercise your brain regularly and rest. Constant loads keep the brain in a "fit" and "collected" state. As loads, you can use writing texts, memorizing poetry, reading, searching for deep meaning in the masterpieces of painting. On the other hand, constant round-the-clock stress can exhaust you, make you irritable and nervous. You should not fanatically overpower yourself and force you to read when there is no desire.
Step 3
Go in for sports. This is an effective and helpful way to let your brain relax. Despite the "stupid athlete" myth, exercise increases IQ. Try to choose the sport first of all "for yourself" in order to enjoy it, and not to sweat in the gym through force. Speaking specifically about the development of intelligence, we can advise extreme sports: such a thing as "parkour" can develop not only the body, but also imagination, a creative outlook on things.
Step 4
Spend more time on art and self-realization. The most productive for the development of intelligence will be the creation of something new. This can be writing poetry, music, painting, and even shooting an amateur video. Anything that requires you to create from scratch will put a strain on your brain. At the same time, any monotonous activity with each repetition requires less effort and in the end turns a person into a robot.
