Unpleasant dreams can be caused by some diseases, ailments, especially accompanied by high fever, difficulty breathing. To prevent restless sleep, you should not drink alcohol at night. It is necessary to attach importance to the amount and nature of food that is eaten for dinner. Eating too much and eating too late can have a very negative effect on sleep quality. Eliminate active physical work, computer games, and intellectual activity before going to bed. If you cannot find out the reasons, try simply changing the place of your sleep. Before bed, you can drink a glass of warm milk with a teaspoon of honey, or use a folk remedy that has a calming effect. Take 3 parts sage and thyme herb, 2 parts juniper twigs, eucalyptus leaves, rose petals, and one part lemon zest. Pour one liter of boiling water and let the drink brew in a thermos for 6 hours. Drink the resulting infusion one glass at a time before bedtime, and after a few days the terrible dreams will disappear. If nightmares at night recur at regular intervals, you should seek help from neurologists or psychiatrists.
