The feeling of one's own inferiority, to one degree or another, is experienced by every person in his life. Basically, the reasons for this are failures and failures in life, parting with loved ones or dissatisfaction with their appearance. Some people can suffer from an inferiority complex for a long time, while they experience severe discomfort from their own insecurities. Feelings of inferiority must be fought.
Instructions
Step 1
First, you need to determine the cause of your complex. Think about what specifically does not suit you in yourself. The root of the problem can be very different. Most of the complexes come from childhood: many are teased by their peers, which deeply hurts especially sensitive children. Perhaps a loved one once abandoned you, or someone systematically insulted you, made jokes about your shortcomings. It so happens that a strong emotional shock takes you out of the game, depriving you of a sense of self-confidence. Psychologists can help in finding the true cause of the complex.
Step 2
After identifying the problem, you need to move on to action. Fight your fears. If, for example, you cannot perform in front of an audience, try to overcome your fear. You can start small: make a toast in the family circle, make a small announcement in front of work colleagues, etc.
Step 3
Love yourself. You should always remember that each person is unique, and so are you. Take a piece of paper and try to list your positive qualities or achievements. When your strengths are fixed, you will feel your value and power. Don't forget to praise yourself. Personal recognition is most important. Every morning in front of the mirror, smile, tell yourself that you look great, and you will succeed.
Step 4
Do whatever gives you confidence. Dress in clothes that are comfortable for you. If you feel comfortable and confident in a business suit - buy a suit, prefer sports shoes - wear sneakers or moccasins, consider yourself overweight - go in for sports for at least twenty minutes a day. If you have skin problems, visit a beautician. Remember that no matter how perfect your appearance is, what you have on the inside plays a much more important role. Therefore, you need to self-develop, improve your knowledge.
Step 5
Make plans for the future. Success is achieved by someone who is not afraid to set difficult tasks for himself. Learn a foreign language or learn to play the guitar, become a professional in your field. Of course, all this is not easy to achieve, but you yourself set a deadline for yourself.
Step 6
Try to start a new life. Divide everything into "before" and "after". And leave your complexes in the past, you no longer need them. Tell yourself, “I can do anything. I am a strong personality. There have been and will be many obstacles in my life, but I have dealt with them and I will handle them with ease."
