The ability to concentrate and maintain attention for a long time is necessary for any person to perform their duties every day, both at work and at home. Whatever you do, training your attention will improve your performance by allowing you to focus longer on getting things right.
Necessary
- Healthy eating
- Correct sleep patterns
- Time to meditate
- Books
Instructions
Step 1
To be more attentive, be sure to eat well. This is especially true for breakfast at the beginning of the day. After sleep, your blood glucose levels drop, making it harder for you to concentrate.
A handful of nuts, whole grain toast, and freshly squeezed juice are great choices for the morning and for improving attention.
Step 2
Never neglect sleep. It is the lack of sleep that is the main reason for the decline in attention. Make it a rule to get enough sleep (8 hours a night) and organize your daily routine so that you always go to bed and get up at the same time.
Step 3
Learn to meditate. Breathe deeply and relax for at least 10 minutes a day. This will improve your ability to concentrate.
Step 4
Forget TV. In some families, it is customary to keep the TV on at all times. So people themselves, without noticing it, at times reduce their attention. Constantly distracted, even if unintentionally, by extraneous sounds, we only partially immerse ourselves in really important matters.
Step 5
A great way to train attention is reading books. Read a little of each one, concentrate on the process and have fun with the story.
Step 6
Another of the most effective and simple types of attention training is switching to different types of activities. If you've been in the office for several hours trying to solve an important problem, get distracted and go for a walk. And when you return, you can easily deal with the delayed work thanks to the increased attention.
