Sometimes there are unpleasant moments in life that you want to quickly forget and never remember again. It turns out that if you understand the pattern of the emergence of thoughts about these situations, then this is quite easy to do.

Let's imagine that someone was rude to you, and you can't get rid of annoying thoughts all day: “why is he doing this to me,” “why did she say that,” “why is it so rude,” etc. Psychologists call it this: useless thought process. Because it is not about finding an answer or a solution.

And this sheds light on the obvious, but not taken into account by modern man: thoughts that do not lead to concrete results clog the mind and close us from real life. If the thought is not aimed at analysis or at making a decision, it simply destroys a person, introduces him into a state of stress. Thoughts are valuable in themselves if they induce a person to do something: move, solve problems, communicate, create, etc.

Here you might think that after rough treatment you need to respond in kind. Not at all necessary. You can just ignore it. This will eliminate the waste of time and energy on thoughts that lead nowhere.

If you draw a diagram of the train of thought after an unpleasant event, it should look like this:

Scheme 1. An unpleasant case - a person begins to think about it - will these thoughts lead to any action? - No? - then why worry - forget - live on.

Scheme 2. An unpleasant case - a person begins to think about it - will these thoughts lead to any action? - Yes? - determine what kind of action it is - pull yourself together and do it - live on.

A good way out? Great, if only you use this method constantly, keep it in your head and by force of will not let yourself think about the negative. This is a practice and it will help you be more constructive in life.

First, try to track your reaction to a negative event from the outside. What do you feel: anger, irritation, resentment, a desire to take revenge and also say a bunch of nasty things? These pictures can appear in your imagination. By force of will, do not let them arise, because you are their master. And what happened is a small episode of a long journey.

Treat negativity as a trifle of life that should not shut you out of life itself - huge, varied and full of thousands of different events. Do not cycle on chalk. Use thoughts for creation, not destruction.
