Often times, things happen in our life that require us to have exceptional self-control. Stressful situations, constant tension, sudden situations - all this evokes emotions and does not allow us to control ourselves. The nervous system gradually wears out, we become more and more irritable. In order to avoid this, you need to follow just a few guidelines.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, understand that emotions do not exist as such. There is a chemical reaction, the body's reaction to a change in the environment, to aggressive behavior. Emotions are alien to pure minds; only cause and effect is present in it.
Step 2
Develop your own priority system. Choose what makes sense for you, both here and now and in the long run. Jumping from a long-term to a short-term perspective and back will help you save a huge amount of nerves, because many things that are important now have no value in the long term, and what will happen next is hardly felt now. Use this scheme in case of severe stress.
Step 3
Think logically. In a pure mind, as mentioned above, there are no emotions. Think whether this or that action will be useful to you? How will it affect your long-term goals? Calculate the situation a few steps ahead and find out if the development will be exactly the way you want it to be.
Step 4
If emotions overwhelm you, put yourself in the place of the interlocutor. Think about whose arguments you would rather listen to - those that are presented briefly, clearly and in fact, or a flurry of aggression? Act on what is most effective. Remember, your goals are the most important thing you have.
