You can often hear the phrase that the point of no return has been passed. This term is used not only in everyday life, but also in nuclear physics and even aviation. How should this expression be understood, and in what situations is it applied?
Instructions
Step 1
There comes a state of affairs when no one can influence the situation. Events begin to develop so rapidly that a person is unable to control them, and often realizes that any actions will be useless.
Step 2
There is a certain moment in communication when the previous relationship becomes impossible. It seems that all the good that people could give each other, they have already done it and have completely lost interest for further communication. Nothing else unites them. There comes a crisis of relations in which it is not possible to change anything. Once close people break up, realizing that their relationship has no future.
Step 3
A certain phrase or event becomes the last straw for making a responsible and unpleasant decision. The person comes to the conclusion that the current situation does not suit him. At one point, he realizes that he does not want to change or forgive anything, much less take any action to improve. He is disappointed.
Step 4
There comes a moment in a person's life when his actions become irreversible. The chain of events in which he was directly involved, led the person into a situation from which there is no way out and no way back.
Step 5
A person consciously decides to break off all relationships and completely change his life. Saying that “all bridges have been burned” and “the point of no return has been passed” implies dislike for specific events and unwillingness to return to this situation. This is the segment of life that they want to forget. When a person finds himself in a bad company and becomes an accomplice in illegal actions, he realizes that he will not be released just like that. The only way out is to run: to go so far away where they won't find him, and he himself can start a new life.
Step 6
The situation has completely exhausted itself. A person's inherent model of behavior or outlook on life turned out to be so destructive or ineffective that he decides never to do this again and chooses a different tactic of action. For example, when a person begins to have health problems, he can give up bad habits and begin to adhere to a healthy lifestyle.
