People are forced to interact with each other. And people around, unfortunately, are not always in a good mood. It happens that your interlocutor begins to show aggression towards you. To avoid becoming a victim of this behavior, you need to be able to properly respond to it.
Instructions
Step 1
Change your voice to a softer one when you feel that the other person is being aggressive towards you. At the same time, he should not have the feeling that you are afraid of him and that he can influence you in this way. Speak more quietly than usual and then your opponent will be forced to listen to your words. The main thing is not to overdo it, otherwise, your interlocutor may become even more aggressive.
Step 2
Use pauses as a way to neutralize your opponent's aggression. Your silence should last as long as possible. It will allow you to find weaknesses in the attacks of the enemy and distract him from the active manifestation of aggression.
Step 3
Try to distract the other person's attention. You can ask him a question from an area that is absolutely not related to the subject of your conversation. If you are not sure if this trick will work, then look away with interest. This will force your opponent to follow your gaze and distract them from their previous behavior.
Step 4
Don't yell at someone who is being aggressive. This will only provoke him and provoke new attacks in your direction. In addition, the result of your conversation in this case will be a quarrel and mutual insults, but not the achievement of the best solution.
Step 5
Nod your head in agreement with your opponent. This will surprise him, and you demonstrate your willingness to conduct a civilized conversation without insults and aggression. This behavior on your part will calm your opponent and after a while he will return to normal.
Step 6
Do not make excuses when you feel that your interlocutor is showing aggression towards you. He will take this as proof of his strength and influence. And in this way you yourself will drive yourself into a corner, from which it will be very difficult to get out.
